Horseback riding in the mountains.....

Again, I am writing to myself. LOL This is getting to be habit forming. Anyway, just thought I would share what I am going to be doing over the weekend. Every year my kids and I load our saddle bags and bedrolls onto our horses and we trailer them up into the mountains and spend all weekend camping, fishing and riding. We live in the Ozark Mountains but the elevation where we are going is a little higher meaning the tree's will be vibrant shades of orange, yellow and red. Autumn is truly here. We have been making this trip together for years now and it's always a great time to catch up on what we have been doing. My son lives on the ranch with me and he manages the cattle. Both of my daughters are nurses and live and work in town. The weather is suppose to be awesome this weekend so we are really excited. Campfires, hot chocolate, smores and howling coyotes. Ya can't beat that with a stick :) I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Amirah.....who the crap are you talking to?????? LOL

Wow ... Camping In the mountains @@ .. that's cool ...
if we (me & my family) wanna camp .. instead of seeing lovely trees and wonderful sky .. we end up in a treeless .. dusty desert .. we barely see signs of life .. lol
little plants grow here and there ..
pretty disappointing scene -___-
but .. when the weather is great .. nothing matters .. we just wanna enjoy the lovely weather ^__^

akabaneq8 - First, thanks for posting. I can't believe someone reads this. I feel so special now.LOL I cracked up at "we barely see signs of life". Our trip was awesome and although we were the only human life forms we did see plenty of wildlife such as coyotes, deer, racoons and squirrels. As long as the weather is nice, which it was just great this weekend, I don't think it matters where you are. If my son hadn't forgot the camera I would try and post some pictures here. Maybe next time. We'll be taking another trip the end of this month. We try and go on a long ride atleast once a month. In 2006 some of my family took me camping in the desert (in Q8) and I have to admit there were splendors there that I would never see here in the US. Thanks again for posting and hope to see you back again :)

Hi Basboosa :)
It's wonderful to have you ! We can be the three Amigo's. LOL Hopefully more will join later.

Since you have never been camping, I have to urge you to do so! It's amazing to me. I have camped both here in the US, of course, and I had an opportunity to camp in Kuwait as well. There are wonderfully different things about both.

I seen in your profile that you have "Kuwait and the US" both listed, so are you in the US? Just being nosy ;) LOL

Thanks again for stopping by and hope to see you again :)

Giggles ~ LOL well giggles fit ya, girl. Thank you for the compliment, you make me blush ;) I really tried to stay awake so I could call you back, but I just couldn't do it. It was awesome talking and getting to know you, hun and I look forward to building on this friendship. I'll make you a deal, I won't make fun of your spelling if you won't laugh at my southern accent. LOL J/k :)
